Cabbage stores well and can last up to 2 months in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator. A cut head of cabbage can be wrapped in plastic and stored in the fridge for several days.

Remove the cabbage’s tough outer leaves, slice it in half through the stem, cut out the hard central core, and thinly slice it for use in slaws, stir fry dishes, salads, or braising.
