FLiPRx FAQ
What is FLiPRx?
The Family Lifestyle Program (FLiP) is a DC-built, clinical-community initiative that connects families to nutrition, physical activity, and community resources to support and maintain their health and wellbeing. FLiPRx is a produce delivery and nutrition education initiative to help families eat healthier.
How do I know when my produce delivery will arrive?
You will receive a text message from FLiPRx on the Monday of delivery week that has the list of produce that will come on Wednesday. On Wednesday, you will receive a text message from 4P foods that your delivery is coming soon, and another text that it has arrived.
How do I know when my produce deliveries will end?
You will receive deliveries for six months, beginning in the month of your first cooking class and ending at the end of the month of your sixth and final cooking class.
Why does my delivery have to end?
We have limited capacity in our program, and we wish to give as many people as possible the opportunity to participate in FLiPRx.
Can I re-enroll?
You cannot re-enroll into the six month program. However, when you attend a Children’s National clinic visit at participating clinics* you can ask your provider to refer you to FLiP and you will be eligible for a short-term delivery of produce. (*currently THEARC and Anacostia clinics only, up-to-date as of November 8, 2023.)
What do I do with the empty green delivery bags?
Please return the green delivery bags by placing them outside by the usual location of where your delivery driver drops off your delivery. You can place your empty bags outside on Tuesday evening or Wednesday early morning.
Do I receive compensation for completing surveys?
You will receive compensation after completing FLiPRx surveys. If you do not receive compensation within two days (48 hours), you can text us at (202) 800-9440 or (202) 709-7404.
Do I receive compensation after attending a cooking class?
The cooking and nutrition class is considered part of the program’s required nutrition education, so you do not receive compensation for attending a class.
Who do I call if I have a request?
Please text or leave a voicemail at (202) 709-7404. Text only to (202) 800-944. If you have a delivery issue specifically, you can email 4P Foods at community@4PFoods.com.
How often is the online cooking/nutrition education class? Is it on Zoom?
The cooking/nutrition education class takes place on the first Wednesday of each month from 6-7pm and fourth Saturday of the month from 10:30-11:30am on Zoom!
How do the text messages work?
We send out texts a few times each week. Some of our texts are automated, but you can always respond to our texts and a real person will respond within 24 hours on the weekdays.
