MANGO

Mango is a great source of vitamins A & C and potassium. Mangos get sweeter as they ripen, so if you’d prefer a tart mango, eat it sooner. Mango can be used in salsa, blended into smoothies, or added to all kinds of dishes!

  • Available year-round, but best in June and July

  • Mango should be stored on the counter until it is ripe, and then it should be stored in the fridge. You’ll know it’s ripe when it gives slightly to the touch.

  • Try slicing mango, squeezing lime juice over the slices, and sprinkling Tajin seasoning or just regular chili powder. This easy snack blends sweet and spicy in perfect harmony.
