mint
Even though it is only consumed in small amounts, mint still provides many important nutrients, including vitamins A and antioxidants. Mint is often used in hot or cold teas, pestos, or even just added raw into already flavorful dishes.

Available year-round!

Store mint stem first in a glass of water (like a vase of flowers) and then cover the leaves with a plastic bag. Place the glass in the fridge where it will store for at least 2 weeks. Change the water if it begins to discolor.
-
Try making mint tea! Just boil 2 cups of water and add the mint leaves for 3–5 minutes. For sweeter tea, add a natural sweetener such as honey. Serve either iced or hot. Honey should not be served to children under 1 year old.
