Peaches continue ripening after they’re picked, so allow them to ripen at room temperature until they give slightly and store in the crisper of the fridge for up to a week.

Peaches can pose a choking hazard for babies due to their slippery texture, as well as their skin which can get stuck in the back of the throat. Slice peaches thinly or mash before serving.
