Rutabagas are high in vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. Rutabagas can be mashed, made into veggie noodles, roasted, and used in soups. They can also be eaten raw and will taste sweet and juicy.

Rutabagas can last for a week at room temperature and for more than a month in the refrigerator. Trim greens about an inch from the root and make sure to keep rutabagas dry.

Rutabagas have been known to cause gassiness and bloating, so if your baby has had digestive issues in the past, it may be best to hold off on offering them rutabagas.
